Learn to Speak English Easily: Questions with ‘do’ and ‘does’

In the previous unit you have learnt the “Use of ‘Did‘”. In this unit you will learn to make questions with ‘do‘ and ‘does‘.

We can make questions beginning with ‘Do I’, ‘Do we’, ‘Do you’, and ‘Do they’. We can also make questions beginning with ‘Does he’, ‘Does she’ and ‘Does it’. For such questions, one can answer in the positive or in the negative. One can answer in different ways as given in the following examples.

Do I over eat?
Yes.
Yes, you do.
Yes. you over eat.
No.
No, you don’t.
No. you don’t over eat.

Do we spend a lot of money?
Yes.
