‘Where’ is used to question about place. In such questions ‘where’ is followed by ‘is, are, was, were, have, has, had, do, does, did, can, could, will, would, shall should, may, might and must’.
Questions Using ‘Where am’ and ‘Where is’
Sometimes when one is confused may question himself or herself saying, ‘Where am I’? ‘Where am I going’? But it’s not very common. Examples of questions using ‘Where is’ and probable answers to such questions are given below.
Q: Where is he?
A: He is in the lounge.
Q: Where is he working?
A: He is working in Microsoft.
Q: Where is she planning to pursue her MS?
A: She planning to pursue her MS in US.
Q: Where is the nearest bus stop?
A: It is on the main road.
Q: Where is the laptop?
A: It is on your computer table.
Q: Where is the dog?
A: It is in the garden.
Q: Where is the UNO?
A: It is in New York.
